30 Sept 08: New PhD student in Arctic aerosol
This week we begin a new collaboration with the Met Office to study the transport of aerosol to the Arctic. Jo Browse from Edinburgh joins Leeds as a CASE student in collaboration with Olivier Boucher at the Met Office. The work will involve refining the transport of aerosol to the Arctic in GLOMAP and evaluation of the model against observations. We will then move on to the Unified Model and quantify the deposition of absorbing aerosol on snow and the associated climate impact.
