Dust transport
Dust is a major component of the global aerosol. As part of his PhD, Paul Manktelow has included a size-resolved interactive dust scheme in the GLOMAP-bin model and examined the interaction of dust and sulphate during long range transport from Asia.
The figure shows the dust loading during a major dust storm in April 2001 during the ACE-Asia campaign.
