Helene Muri

I’m a PDRA in the Institude d’Astronomie at UClouvain, Belgium, and a part of the ERC funded EMIS project .

Currently I am using a multi-model ensemble of GCMs to investigate the climates of past inter-glacials, in particular that of 500,000 years ago. The emphasis is on the East Asian Monsoon system to understand how it has varied in the past. The influence of ice sheets on the monsoon strength is also being investigated.

Previously I was at the University of Oxford in AOPP on the climateprediction.net project . Here I designed the mid-Holocene experiment. The object of the project was to evaluate the skill of GCMs in a paleo-framework and the HadSM3 ensemble was thoroughly benchmarked against the geological records.
