Dr V. Vinoj
Dr V. Vinoj is a post-doctoral research associate at the newly formed Divecha Centre for Climate Change (DCCC) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
He graduated with a PhD from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in India. During his graduation, his major research focus was on observation of aerosol optical, micro-physical and radiative properties over the Indian region using in-situ measurements in land, island and oceanic regions around India. He has handled a multitude of instruments for this purpose which includes Multi-Wavelength Radiometer (MWR), Sun Photometer, Shadow-band Radiometer, Aethalometer, Mass Spectrometer, Micro Pulse Lidar (MPL) to name a few. In addition to making measurements, he was also involved with satellite remote sensing studies to make improved assessment of aerosol absorption.
His broad area of research interests are,
- Aerosols and Climate
- Atmospheric Radiation
- Satellite Remote Sensing
- Cloud Physics
- Monsoon and Climate Change.
