Evolution of physiological functions of melatonin in invertebrates
An model of evolution of melatonin functions proposed by Hardeland and Poeggeler (2003) was confronted with recent research on invertebrate melatonin. Results are showing that evolution lead to multilevel function of that indoloamine in modern invertebrates. Text in Polish with English abstract.
